Official Rules: Diet Power Quiz Sweepstakes

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Open only to residents of the United States and the District of Columbia over 18 years of age. Void where prohibited by law. Sweepstakes is conducted quarterly, beginning at 12:01 a.m. on the first day of each quarter and ending at 11:59 p.m. on the last day of each quarter. For the purposes of these official rules, all times are Pacific Standard Time (U.S.).

2. HOW TO ENTER. There are two ways:

   Email Entry. To the email address provided with each quiz question, send your answer along with your first name, last name, and email address. Your entry for each Diet Power Daily quiz question must be submitted no later than 24 hours after your computer receives the email containing the question. (Diet Power Daily, is emailed only to people who request a free trial of Diet Power software.) Your entry for the quarterly quiz on my.dietpower.com must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on the last day of the quarter of issue.

   Mail-in Entry. Print or type on a sheet of paper the quiz question and your answer to the question, along with your first name, last name, and email address, and mail the sheet to:

   Mail-in entries for each Diet Power Daily quiz question must be postmarked no later than 24 hours after your computer receives the question, and must reach the address above no later than five calendar days after the postmark. Mail-in entries for the quarterly quiz on my.dietpower.com must be postmarked by 11:59 p.m. on the last day of the quarter of issue, and must reach the address above no later than five calendar days after the postmark.

   Limit: one entry per person per quiz question.

3. DRAWINGS. Each quarter's winner is selected on or about the fifth day of the following quarter, in a random drawing from all of the eligible entries received. The drawing is conducted by members of the Diet Power staff. The winner is announced at http://my.dietpower.com/fun/quiz.php.

4. PRIZES/ODDS OF WINNING

   Prizes. Each winner receives $100 (U.S.). The prize must be claimed no later than 30 days after Diet Power announces the prize winner.

   Odds of Winning. The chances of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received.

5. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

   By participating, entrants agree to comply with these official rules and the decisions of the judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects. In the event that a winning entrant's prize notification or prize is returned as undeliverable, or the potential winning entrant does not claim the prize within 30 days of the date of the prize notification, he/she will be disqualified.

   Taxes on the prize (if any) are solely the responsibility of the winner.

   By participating, the entrant agrees to release Diet Power, Inc., and its employees, officers, directors, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by participation in the sweepstakes or the acceptance, possession, or use/misuses of a prize, or participation in any prize-related activities.

   Where legal, by accepting a prize, the winner grants permission for use of his or her name, address, likeness, photograph, and statements by Diet Power, Inc., for advertising/publicity purposes without further compensation.

6. WINNERS' IDENTITY/OFFICIAL RULES. To learn the identity of past winners or receive a copy of the official rules, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Diet Power Quiz Sweepstakes, ATTN: Winners List, 7 Kilian Drive, Danbury, CT 06811. Winners' identity will be available within 60 days after each drawing.
